Since Earliest Historical Times Hinduism Was Never Popular in Pakistan

Agreed - In my earlier response I did qualify that there are divergent views on the aspect of Rig veda being monotheistic or otherwise. I believe that it was monotheistic in its propagation. However, one this stands out in the case of Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism and many other formats which are...

Yes, they do practice their religion but are not accepted as people following separate religion. Indian Constitution identifies Sikhs, Buddhists and Jains as part of broader Hindu religion and the Supreme Court of India also states the same in its various decisions and observations.

The fact is that the a large majority of current Pakistanis are the descendants of the Meluhha. And yes, as the borders were drawn by the British, parts of Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat which formed part of the IVC landmass, were given to India. Romila Thapar also speculates that the people of...

Since Earliest Historical Times Hinduism Was Never Popular in Pakistan

You are aware of the discussion earlier here on this thread about Rig Veda being monotheistic or otherwise. The person stating that it was monotheist in nature was probably also Indian Hindu. Swami Dayanand Saraswati of Arya Samaj also stated the same along with many others. As I have read the...

There is lot of difference in hearing or reciting a small part of it and can not be replaced by the understanding one gathers after reading the Rig Veda and other scriptures. The language of the IVC has not been deciphered so far. However it is known that it was written from right to left...

Arrey - but Swami Dayanand Saraswati died in October 1883. Have you read Rig Veda - be honest. And do you believe that the Vedas explain history or do you believe that these are words of God only, and can not be used for narration of or linkage of history or geography as many Indians do this.

What you are saying is that Indians will gas over 2-300 million Indian minorities like the Jewish Holocaust. Good lord. Haven't seen such a horrific display of racist outburst even in the worst of places. If this is freedom of speech, it is outlandish to the extreme. Pakistan was not created...

Since Earliest Historical Times Hinduism Was Never Popular in Pakistan

Oh but the first Vedic and later Hindu scriptures were written much later and many Indian Hindus state that these were written within current Indian borders. Therefore, the people of IVC never read Vedas. Sanskrit was written and read by a limited number of higher cast Brahmins. The majority...

Whatever the Indians were and are we respect the Indian beliefs as long as they do not tinker with our heritage and identity and claim it as theirs. The facts of history can not be denied for long. A limited number of Muslims who came with Mohammad Bin Qasim won against Raja Dahir because the...

In that case how can India claim IVC, as India is also less than 100 years old. First of all, religion was not the only basis of creation of Pakistan. There were many other factors which were as important and highlighting only religion as the basis of Two Nation Theory is a narrow view which...

Since Earliest Historical Times Hinduism Was Never Popular in Pakistan

The identity crisis is somehow embedded in the Indians where they claim an identity which is not theirs in the first place. This particular crisis occurred after 1947 when the so-called raison-detre of their earliest existence, the IVC, was left in Pakistan. Nehru sanctioned money very early...

The term Mlechha may have existed since long. What I am referring to is its contemporary and current usage as a derogatory and a racist slur to indicate a Muslim. The so-called Dharmic reality that you talk about only exists amongst the Indian Hindus. The Dharmic religions less Hinduism that...

He does not have to indicate that the landmass covering Pakistan about which he is referring to, is over 9000 years old. It is already a proven fact. Mehrgarh, excavated by the French archeologists in 1974, is over 9000 years old city which is located between the cities of Quetta and Sibi in...
