Well I can't say i watched the entire speech but I did watch first few minutes... and i was a bit disappointed... there were pronunciation as well as dialect mistakes that PM did make ... only a couple though... also his tone n demeanour was a bit off... But he has 5 years so i won't...
there is no need to be crass... u shuld remember tht most in bihar and up wear lungi as a desi night suit if u will... also in southern India people usually wear lungi... so no need to demean lungi...
No it is not hypocrisy. Simply for the fact that Hindi is spoken in more than just a couple of states unlike say marathi, tamil, telgu, kannada, gujrati, rajasthani etc. As i have stated earlier i have nothing against any regional languages. All I am saying is that donot demonize hindi as if it...
In Bihar people have bhojpuri.. in manipur people have manipuri etc etc etc... In every state of India people have one language or another then how are you going to communicate with other parts if every one became as idiotically stubborn as you are for tamil then what will happen to this...
You cannot find anything else to comment except for the above fact. I mean the point of this thread was not to establish if Hindi is or is not a national language but to find out the reasoning behind why speaking hindi in TN is such a taboo.
My world is exactly as it should be. It is your narrow mindedness that lets you think that Hindi will dominate Tamil and Tamil would cease to exist. Hindi is the national language and it is just the politics over regionalism that has kept India from truly looking out for national interests. You...

1. Pt. Nehru was not the 1st choice of...
That is so because invasion implies great and terrible battles are fought, lots of people dying... in reality the so called aryan invasion is nothing but advent of aryans into india through northern India... there coming might not have been peaceful, what with dravidians occupying the upper...
What is the use of alliances when you donot co-operate physically on the ground. I donot know if this true or not but i read it somewhere that Kennedy had offered to lend airforce to India in 1962... can we seriously claim that had India accepted this what would happned to the war?? Or indeed...
It is not about India becoming pakistan... what i am trying to say is just because we have not looked at certain things in the past doesnot mean that we have to shoot down ideas without giving thought... It will need careful study of feasibility, pros and cons of such a move.. but door should...
