Check the number of people in visual effects category. It runs into more than 50, possibly 100. A company with branches in 4 cities worked on it. The newspaper completely misread the whole thing. Or probably it is deliberate paid news. Who knows. I already saw this type of story once...

I agreed with you on that already. Now lots of people worked on visual effects, including the guys whose title does not include effects. All the names are in IMDB. All are winners. But the newspaper is misleading when it calls him oscar winner. It is the team that wins and usually one leader...
