How Islamicised is the Pakistan army?

Objector, there are a large number of fake/slightly doctored Hadith that are in circulation. Could you tell us who recorded this hadith & whether it's considered sahih?

    Mi-17 down, 26 troops martyred

DAWN.COM | Pakistan | Army helicopters attack militants near crash site This article from Dawn says that 10 militants were killed in helicopter attacks in the same area where the MI-17 crashed. They're still saying it was due to a technical fault, but whatever it was, I hope the army &...

Yeah, sorry, my mistake. Reports suggest they may have been some regular soldiers on leave.

    Mi-17 down, 26 troops martyred

DAWN.COM | Pakistan | Helicopter crash kills 41 security personnel According to Dawn, the number of deaths may be 41? Isn't that well above the helicopter's seating capacity? Can anyone clarify this?

    Mi-17 down, 26 troops martyred

The downed helicopter is an MI-17, which is a utility helicopter, not a gunship. The Taliban don't even know what kind of helicopter it is, therefore I seriously doubt they downed it.

    A Million Mutinies Within

I have a question to the Indians on this forum - how would you guys feel if a government decided to try out a one child policy similar to China's but not as harsh? It does seem that overpopulation creates the problems that this thread is related to, so how would you guys respond to such a...

How Islamicised is the Pakistan army?

Objector, first of all, I'm still waiting for your reply to my last post. Also, do you seriously have any idea how many different interpretations of Shariah there are? There's no point of going around stating that you want Shariah law until you identify one particular form and stick with it...

How Islamicised is the Pakistan army?

As I've said before, you cannot identify one Shariah law. There are too many versions. I do not want a Taliban version of Shariah in Pakistan and if such a thing should ever get implemented I would fight the implementor till it was lifted. Zulfiqar comes from Pakistan's tribal belt, he knows...

Mammoth "Go America Go" rally in Karachi demands end to US interference

The people of this country seem to have forgotten that during the 1980's the Jamaat-e-Islami actually supported the USAand its interference in Pakistan. Hypocritics now chant anti-western slogans, while a large number of Jamaatis & former Jamaatis actually live in these countries. I know...

How Islamicised is the Pakistan army?

I don't think medical companies will be willing to go into Afghanistan without proper security. Also the Taliban have targeted doctors, etc... in the past, especially those linked with vaccines, such as polio vaccines. I'm not sure medical companies would be willing to go into Afghanistan...

How Islamicised is the Pakistan army?

Let the Americans make their own mistakes, if there would have been moderate Taliban, they wouldn't have taken up arms in the first place. Talibanism is the extreme of Wahabiism which is itself an extreme of Islam. It's almost impossible to find moderates amongst such people because their...

    Operation Rah-e-Rast (Swat)

IED stands for improvised explosive device. As the title suggests, they're improvised devices, therefore it's safe to assume they're quite simple. I think one of the main forms are those detonated by remote control, as it's easier to make remote operated devices that motion sensing ones, so I...

Taliban scrap N. Waziristan peace deal

The attack on the convoy is a sign that that we must deal with the N.Waziristan Taliban as well. Killing 27 of our soldiers is equivalent to a declaration of war. So much for those who try to differentiate between "good & bad" Taliban.

How Islamicised is the Pakistan army?

I think it was Taliban. The Christians themselves think they were Taliban. Unless you can provide a source which can prove that this was infact an attack by another group, I see no reason for anyone to jump to conclusions about others. The MQM doesn't go around forcing Christians to convert to...

    Imran Khan as Pak PM

The problem with the current crop is that once they die, their kids will take over. We need new politicians and new parties and we need to get rid of the oldies, in such a way that theire jayalas won't get too pissed off & start shouting for a new country.

How Islamicised is the Pakistan army?

. Read the second one, which specifically states that the Taliban executed some of the Christians. Judging by your flags, I assume you live in the UK right now, therefore you probably know a lot of Christians and may have some Christian friends. How would you feel if they were faced with...

How Islamicised is the Pakistan army?

The question is whose Shariah? Will it be the Deobandi version or the Salafist version or the Taliban version? Youb keep repeating Shariah again and again and again, but you never state which form of it you want in place. Frankly speaking, it was agreed the Qur'an would stay in Arabic to prevent...
