Trump to sign defence act preventing weapons sales to Turkey

Thats the point. Hedge your bets. Its unwise to be dependent on one. Keep playing one side with the other but dont lose either.

Trump to sign defence act preventing weapons sales to Turkey

What about the military hardware already in use, that is potentially a 100 Billion $ wasted. Most equipment might become non-operational within a year. And moreover no country is a reliable partner. Geopolitical situations keep changing. Pakistan knows this better than most. It was the apple of...

Sri Lanka Hopes India Will Buy Into Airport Without Planes. China Refused

You are overestimating a capability of satellites. Satellites have a huge blind time. Moreover they can only see surface ships. A radar on the island can track every ship in realtime and even submarines. Satellites are no where a replacement for real physical presence. I agree on your point on...

Sri Lanka Hopes India Will Buy Into Airport Without Planes. China Refused

I wasn't talking about a political guarantee but a a material one. The radars on the airports alone can track most of the ships anD aircraft at Hambantota. A completely trackable military base is a no go.
