Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

It looks small but enough for a UAV. Turkey has an advantage about that point, we can make both UAV and the ammunition so it is much cheaper than any manned aircraft option. Also a big fleet of UAV another advantage for the air defence system. They can shoot some of them but the valuable number...

T-129 Atak & Turkish Attack Helicopter Programs

Both military and civilian projects can be highly profitable but we need to export. Domestic demand is not enough to make a profit. Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

That's why we have AKSUNGUR and AKINCI. A-10 is not an ordinary aircraft. It basically designed to carry that gun. Other specifications are fit with AKSUNGUR and AKINCI. High payload capacity is the key for both of them. Especially AKINCI can carry heavy ammunition than others. Also, AKINCI...

Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

It is a big deal. First of all for unmanned F-16 we need to full access for F-16's flight computer which needs permission from the US. Also, F-16 is a jet so its flight characteristic too different than a propeller aircraft. Yes it would be unmanned but still, it is a precious material which we...

Which stop gap fighter would you prefer for TurAF?

Do we have a budget for this need? How many aircraft does TURAF need? Which countries are willing to sale fighter jets to Turkey? Do we know the answer to those questions? I don't know. All I can say that Russia isn't an option for the Turkish Air Force in any case for now. F-35 will have...

Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

If the Turkish NAVY wants an LHD base UAV, it will be a smaller platform than AKINCI or AKSUNGUR. Yes, the deck looks big enough but not always it will be obstacle-free for landing. Also, LHD based platforms have to be strength enough to land faster and heavier conditions. So we need a new...

Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

3-5 years might be enough for UAV platforms because of the manless structure could needs less changes in terms of land base models. But even in that condition, it will need lots of structural and software changes.

Akinci & Aksungur and Turkish Unmanned Fighter Aircraft Program

I think we have a long way to get to land Goksungur or similar UAV on the TCG Anadolu. First of all, Goksungur will be the new stage for us, it will be really complicated even in airbase operations. For the naval version, we will need extra progress and maybe an extra 3 to 5 years.

    Turkish Aviation Programs

I don't think so. If they see an enemy aircraft, they will not consider it is a fighter or not. Just shoot it down. Also, I think they don't see your aircraft as fighter or not. If the plane has a stealth feature, it looks smaller so they can track it late.
