Denmark defends plan to strip "refugee" valuables

Reminds me of the last part of Martin's Song of Fire and Ice where the Jon Snow allows freefolk to enter but takes their valuables as payment. The Night's Watch was desperately poor though. Why so stingy, Dutchies?

Cunning Facebook management has found a new tool to destroy net-neutrality in India

Pardon me if I don't see Free Basics as more Facebook intrusion into our lives. The app has already been well-documented to constantly abuse smartphone platforms to stay alive at all times and continuously seek personal information to sell.

Heat and solar cells are unrelated I guess. Because right now a lot of industrial and consumer uses of energy are fulfilled by fossil fuels. Once you make electricity cheaper, the demand goes up and where does it stop? Consider airplanes. When they were first introduced, they were a luxury, a...

US high school students join Muslim peers in wearing hijabs

If we can't separate the fakers from real Muslims, then all Germans are anti-Semitic, all Jews oppress Muslims and all Christians uphold the Inquisition.

IN A WAR WITH RUSSIA, NATO HAS NO CHANCE

Russia can attack NATO members, but can't hold any territory for a significant time. Only the US has been able to maintain control of nations thousands of miles away and afford expenditures of upto $100 billion annually for that purpose. Sorry, the post is more pipe-dream than fact based.

From just 20MW in '11 to 5000MW+ in '15 - Growth of Solar Power in India

Solar takes up too much space. Sure it's clean and the energy production costs are negligible in the long run. But after a few decades we'll be running out of space and these plants could become a burden.

Air superiority fighters vs Multirole fighters

Your list has already separated countries with more immediate air-defense objectives compared to those with more strategic ones.

Air superiority fighters vs Multirole fighters

Multiroles fare better in tactial air-battles like those in the Arab-Israeli wars or Indo-Pak ones where the enemy is within reach and the airforce needs rapid succession of sorties or aerial defense. Their shorter turn-around and relatively easier maintenance (esp with single engine) makes them...

Pakistan’s external debt set to grow to whopping $90b

If anything grows in Pakistan this fast, it's DEBT. We have all kinds of blind idiots running around claiming N.Sharif is the economic mastermind, or some other politician can do financial miracles. None of them wants to focus on what this debt will do to us. While loans are necessary for...
