funny coming from a pakistani. We werent the ones licking american boots all through the cold war, and even today, India stand up to american pressure, way more than pakistan can dare to. Dude, you got soldiers busted in a drone strike....you didnt even get an apology. Never even engaged a drone...
what makes u think we wont be using ifvs in the western theater ?
i do agree on the ne sector needing more wheeled ifvs, as well as some tracked ones...for ladakh ....the cv90 120mm would fit well....or we could try modding the 2a2s sprut to suit our needs.
i dont think india would approve of this..of course, it is US's prerogative anyway...but traditionally the IOR has been the hegemony of the indian navy
it is true that the range of brahmos is understated. I do not have verifiable proof. I posted this before. but my contact did take a certain high rank arty officer to dinner for some sales reasons. i was there. Range is easily expected to be in the 700km range...might go higher too...Guy...
its not like their aid's actually of any major help anyway...The aid doesnt go to the govt. We can give them ten times the aid and not be bothered about it. THis is boring ....really boring.
my personal wishlist for the ficv would be
1] option for add of ERA
2] a good hardkill aps
3] a decent amount of ATGM storage/firing capability
4] fully amphibious
5] an AGL , and a decent anti apc cannon (a fast firing anti personnel weapon wouldnt be too bad either)
6] a top speed of around...
It wont work the way u're thinking about it. The company winning the competition gets about 70% of the order for its design. It ALSO has to share its tech and allow the other company to produce the remaining 30% simultaneously. The other company too produces its rival's vehicle (at the same cost...
nothing about the intellegence agencies in specific, and the equipment they have i'm afraid. but i'll say this ...a good deal of the geospatial surveillance is western tech from you-know-who passed on by the israelis.
special recon pods on the mki as well as some weapon locating tech ....might...
i want to see the specs on both the designs...also if most of this is imported stuff, then why is it gonna take so much time to get the prototypes up and running?
can someone update us about what we know about the ficv proposals of either vendors? ..also isnt drdo being consulted to provide a...
contact of mine sells defence related software, and geo-mapping equipment to the air force, crpf and army intellegence...mainly data, intel gathering(i dont know the details, but this includes the printer for the recon images on the MKI).....you can imagine i'm not at a liberty to speak about...
and still , you have hundreds of jawans who cant get a siachen posting even though they want to , coz the damn waiting list is too long........It takes a special kind of madman to make a good indian soldier.
you should see the cobra command centre at civil lines, delhi. Its all pretty hush hush..when i went last year, the place was disguised as some other building. The op centre looks like something out of a western spy flick .
