This is a great move... It will also increase influence of Turkey in the area... I think Turkey, Iran (if no sanctions) and Pakistan should have moved closer. At these troubling times, good to see Turkey making the first move!

Probably not better weapons... Taliban are established now. They know how to fight guerrilla style. Now they are learning how to organize. I am partly blaming the situation as more and more uneducated people go radical after anger against either Pakistan or the West (more likely the latter)

Religion should dictate laws. Give an example where 'things go wrong' in a place dictated by religion? No, I don't mean Afghanistan. That doesn't count as religion.

Dude... the least amount of secularism is in Muslim countries, and Islam has never changed. So I guess what you are saying is contradictory.

What is wrong with harsh punishment? With harsh punishment, comes little crime. I personally think the corrupt politicians should be punished according to religion- killed.

Fine, whatever your opinions are on the Junagadh issue and other princely states. Now- say India takes these states (which it did). Was it fair according to the rules? No, it wasn't. Apparently they didn't want 'pockets' of Pakistan in India. So India absorbed the land. Okay, that's fine...
