How about enhancing the current startup culture in Pakistan? Currently we are more focused on software development (because it's physically easier) and some "starts" pop up here and there. But there is no real progress in manufacturing and hardware development. I'm an embedded systems designer...
I take it as a bluff. One should not be so blind in patriotism that deny daylight. Only design and sub systems selection is complete. It's not built and certainly not flying.
Although many people talk about JF-17 as primary fighter of PAF, I don't believe in that theory. The project SabreII was primary meant to replace aging F-7 (and it's variants), A-5s and Mirages. It wasn't meant to replace F-16s. I don't think PAF, in 90s, envisaged such thing like they are...
