the amca prototypes will be flying by end of this decade and it will be ready for production around 2027 - 2030 to replace the mirage 2000 and mig 29 and lca mk1. So around 150 will definitely be inducted and if iaf likes it then it will be 200 - 300

Mk2 range is speculation - it will be around 130km at best. And why wait so long when we can have a missile as good or even better by 2014( meteor). K 100 is used by mki's only and cannot be used against fighters also no use for an awacs killer on an interceptor, r 27 is outdated and obsolete...

astra is not out yet, and the mk2 will take at least a decade - the meteor is almost ready only abt 2 yrs of development left.
