When did I say it is easy? lol Well, it depend on the experience and resources; just like build a super highrise building, it could take 5 years to complete, but it could take less than 1 year if you have enough resource and method. Big shipyard like Jiangnan? it take long time for some less...

China aims for naval supremacy by 2050

As I said it is not about sea coverage, it is about parity with US Naval power. LOL. Shipyard is not a very complex system like a chip fab. What make you think it has to take that long 5 years to finish a shipyard? With massive resource China can build it fast; replicating Jiangnan shipyard...

China aims for naval supremacy by 2050

Type 003 probably in same league with latest USS Ford class. The dimension is almost similar, hence the tonnage could be almost the same also. If type 003 turn out to be nuclear powered, China doesnt need another slightly larger nuclear AC type 004 anytime in this or coming decade.

China aims for naval supremacy by 2050

China doesn't need to have naval power presence in Atlantic. Naval supremacy could mean the very strong naval power competing or even surpassing USN. Yes China should be able to project her naval power to Atlantic or any sea on earth, but not necessarily be stationed there. Busy shipyards...

China aims for naval supremacy by 2050

China has enough learnt from history, that when her military was not strong enough her #1 status as economic superpower could not be sustained. What China's navy is relying currently is "asymmetrical warfare" with her DF-21/26/17 instead of parity with USN in term of tonnage and fire power; but...

China aims for naval supremacy by 2050

China aims for naval supremacy by 2050

Why no? If China can produce 1 carrier per year or two, she will already have minimum 7 carrier by 2030, or even 10. Not to mention destroyer, subs, and LHD.

Chinese space debris? Danger, watch out, it could fall on you! American space debris? It’s a cinematic, dazzling light show!

Be a little bit smarter. "Based on" is not the same as "same", or means stuck on it forever  Long March 2 is based on soyuz, but the level of advancement is different. Same like: Nasa rocket is based on Germany V-2, but the technological level is much different. Or same like J-16 is based...

They dont use soyuz tech anymore. What they have is much much more advanced than that. Soyuz capability was so limited and still very manual, this one has more capability and fully digitized even AI supported.
