The different no of production lines for AK-47 and INSAS will reduce to one. Training will be on 1 rifle but not 2 different rifles.
Our army is already supporting 2 types of ammo -- 7.62 and 5.56 mm with 2 different rifles -- AK-47 and INSAS respectively. Switching to 1 rifle(performing the same job as ak 47 and insas) is always a better economic option to army.
