The West used to call themselves the "Free World" during the cold war. They only borrow the slogan of "Democracy“ from the "Soviet Bloc" after the end of cold war.
US should be very, very carefull about getting Japan involved in "defending" Taiwan militarily, should the war break out. For many Chinese, they would donate one year income to fight USA, but they would "donate" their own live to fight Japan. There is an unpaid due!
It really depends on what the definition of "democracy" is. If it is defined as "multi party voting system", then China is not a democracy; but if it is defined as "responsive and responsible governance", then China is a democracy.
"I'm 75".... The laughter from the crowd was chilling. It was nothing but a joke, like a joke in any stand up comedy show. 500,000 lives are just a joke.
I agree. Over the years, I have met many "Taiwanese", and I have come to the conclusion that ”一国两智“ is real. Generically, they are well mixed: Chinese, Japanese, Austronesian....
Yeah, but they are either both Chinese or both Taiwanses. You can't have it both ways. I guess a headline like "California church shooter is a Taiwanese immigrant who hates Chinese" wouldn't be as juicy, and the OP wouldn't even bother to open this thread. :partay:
David Chou might have thought he is a defender of current Constitution of Republic of China, aka "Taiwan", which claims both Mainland China and Taiwan Island as "indivisible" parts of One China. It's those pro-independence Taiwanese separatists who are unconstitutional radicals.
He was born in 1953 in Taiwan, Republic of China. “Pro-Unification” Chinese killing “Pro-Independence” Chinese. When the time comes, Taiwanese will go through a bloody Infighting, before PLA's landing...
They have so many "Game Changers" to "Change Games", but none of them will change India in foreseeable future. IMHO, nothing will change India or Indians in any significant way, except for social and cultural revolutions.
Do you know why India is in such sorry state of affair today, and shrunken to 1/6 of China's size despite enjoying a head start? It's because there are too many Indians like you talking shit like this all day long and doing nothing else to help.
In the work place, the only time people talk about their "experience" is when they are getting fired or fail to get the promotion, as they have nothing else worthwhile to show.
Just because you owned a PC since 80's, it says nothing about your current computer skills. Don't know what to argue...
