I read the translation and it doesn't mention FA-50 anywhere.
Basically it seems (at least to me) that the new govt. has decided to continue with the contest for 18 LCA (which is the term used for the Light Fighter contest) which was started by the previous govt.
But the news report doesn't...
That is unlikely. The IAF had the option of curtailing the MRFA contest and going with more Rafales instead. But they have chosen to continue with the 114 MRFA only, the RFP for which hasn't even been released as yet.
What will be signed (if at all) will be most likely just 26 Rafale Ms with 22...
That's possible, but the IAF has always had it's eyes set on the A-330 MRTT. They have already been planning to wet lease an A-330 MRTT from France to train operators and technicians prior to a larger lease or buy of A-330 MRTTs.

As I mentioned in my previous post, the Argentine Air Force intends to go ahead and do all the ground work for the selection of the future fighter, including the financing aspects. That will then be put forth to the government for them to then make a decision whenever they see fit.

It does matter because the Argentines have so far not yet done a deep dive into the technical capabilities of the Tejas Mk1A on offer. There have been visits, but this will be more important in terms of the data that will be gathered.
Whether or not a deal materializes is a different matter...
Argentina is going to send a commission to India, possibly in mid-January 2023, to evaluate the offer for Tejas Mk1A fighters.

The commission will most likely include pilots and technicians from the FAA, as well as technocrats and officials from the Argentine MoD...
There has been no such agreement as yet. HAL has signed a MoU with IAI for work packages related to MRTT conversions to be taken up by HAL, but the IAF hasn't yet signed up for conversions of ex-civil B-767 freighters or airliners into B-767 MRTTs.

So Hindustan, Bharat, India all were terms used only by outsiders is it? :D
The level of delusion and denial of your own history..Whatever dude, whatever..
That's a good counter. Yes, the March 22 crash was that of a Super Mushak and as it turns out it was that of the PAA.
If we leave that out, then the IAF and PAF have had a similar number of crashes (1 number) for 2022. And the IAF basically flies a MUCH higher number of sorties and has a MUCH...
If you look at the PAF's attrition between that period, while a significant number of F-16s crashed, there was also quite a few of the A-5, F-6, F-7 and Mirage variants. That wasn't due to the effect of US sanctions, which affected the availability of the F-16 fleet.
Basically the MiG-21 and...
Simple facts, which I know most people neither will read nor bother to understand.
Attrition is measured on the basis of number of accidents per 10,000 hours of flying. On that basis, the IAF attrition rate was actually BETTER than that of the PAF between 1991-1998. This was written about and...
