yeah there are some people in hyderabad/lucknow who still hang onto urdu but the fact of the matter is,everyone speaks and read/write hindi in devenagri script for all practical purposes,so india has no obligation to fulfill wrt urdu.

Urdu has nothing to do with sanskrit,it is the language of Central Asians of Turks,Persians,arabs and a mix of all this. It happened to be spoken by mughals and other nawabs whose descendants now live in pakistan,so it is a pakistani language. Pakistan has to and does take care of it very well.

Central government has all rights to do this move constitutionality,finance is a central subject. Reserve bank fundamentally works for the central government,thats why even tax revenue distribution is decided by the central government and nobody else.
