1971 PAF Fighter Pilots, 14 Squadron, Dacca, "Where are they now?"

Point taken. However, in the overall scheme of things the commander still deserves credit, albeit much less than his colleagues, because he was 'there' in the most trying of circumstance: a determined, overwhelmingly sized enemy, supported by a local populace in open rebellion.

1971 PAF Fighter Pilots, 14 Squadron, Dacca, "Where are they now?"

My dear Chindit: I do not know what your motivations are, but here I am paying homage to a group of pilots who served their country, however, you have turned my homage into a "but, you see, the squadron commander did bad things!!!". You have made your point, using of course, a PAF pilot...

1971 PAF Fighter Pilots, 14 Squadron, Dacca, "Where are they now?"

:confused:Chindit, my friend, I still DO NOT understand why you need to know this? It took me months of digging around to come up with this list...if you can share the reason for this interest and it is plausible, I would be happy to dig around for you....after all that is why we are here on...

1971 PAF Fighter Pilots, 14 Squadron, Dacca, "Where are they now?"

    A) I am not sure why it is important if they flew combat out of WP after leaving EP Dec 6. Nonetheless, without any corroborating information let us speculate shall we?: - they left on Dec. 6 and arrived in Burma; - speculatively speaking, they could have arrived in WP as early as...

1971 PAF Fighter Pilots, 14 Squadron, Dacca, "Where are they now?"

I still find it an amazing coincidence that there were THREE active fighter pilots named Shams (or a slight variation thereof) in the same squadron at the same time. Two of them were more or less completely the same name and pronounced the same way Schames-ul-haq and Shams-ul-haq (nicknamed...

    F22 Raptor Killed !

My dear Haanzo: you can make your points without using derogatory, sarcastic terms: goes to your credibility, don't you think?? Dreamer lists things that the ill-informed host makes, in a non-offensive way and your retort is to call him dumb and use sarcasm. Really? This is debate??

    F22 Raptor Killed !

Try this: - killing the F-22 was an ECONOMIC decision: - this unfortunate Maddow is your typical agenda driven talk-show person and like most (as shown even here ) is clueless about what she is speaking about; - The US treasury is deep in debt: the F-22 was not the only program cancelled...

....moreover, I can introduce to some people here in the US, born and bred, and the English they speak will make you cringe. So do NOT believe that we in the US have any special mastery of the English language, believe you me!:pakistan:

I suppose you meant "sad" instead of "sorry" - he had lead a full life and now is with God. The personal information I have is about his family (who they are, where they are, etc) - nothing that will help you. Whenever I get a chance I will see if the PAF will release the mission...

Capt. Lodhie (from his PIA days) was a " PAF original": flew F86s - one of the ferry pilots, flew B57s - commanded 8 Squadron twice ('62, '64 - I believe) Please refer to "The Story of PAF: a saga of courage and honour) for exact details. He flew some B57 bombing missions in '65, returning...

    Air Force Question Thread

Notice the photo I use as my avatar? This is the famous Sabre formation. Mr. Lodhi was one of the pilots in the formation. I believe someone listed the names of the participants and in fact YOU may have asked who was AMK Lodhi. MuradK replied that it was Arshad Mohammad Kamran Lodhi...

    Air Force Question Thread

I am sorry to hear that: welcome to the uncertain nature of things in Pakistan!!! AliFarooq, may I suggest that, while good for a laugh, a stereotype is just that: a stereotype. Funny, nonetheless, but still a stereotype. You end up judging an individual by the actions of a few (now...
