Question: Syrian Civil War, can Assad win?

it's been 4 years of war, Assad is still there and the army is still behind him. The FSA has ceased to be a significant military force, and ISIL is now the biggest threat to Assad. The US and it's puppets in the region are scrambling to crush ISIL as it expands to Libya, Yemen, Iraq, etc. and...

Albanian provocative causes chaos in Belgrade

you guys could argue for 100 years who owned what and who should have it today, there is no resolution. I think the only thing worth debating is which states are actually functioning today and providing their citizens with a safe and productive environment to live in. The list of failures here...

    Ukraine restarting T-64-based IFV development

Brillaint, I love to see old obsolete equipment re-tooled into something that is useful and cost effective. The T-55 was the most produced MBT in history, there are literally tens of thousands laying around to be converted. ok, so the original drivers seat is now the infantry door, and the...

Albanian provocative causes chaos in Belgrade

Interesting thread, seems like all of our Middle East posters just repeat what was narrated on CNN, I don't blame people for that. This was before the internet became main-stream, and here in the US I too watched the TV media, believed that Serbia was committing some type of mass-murder of...

Serbia's LRSVM Morava MRL begins final tests

I don't know who potential export customers might be at this time but I expect there to be significant interest as the unit is relatively small, easily portable on back-country roads, and presumably costs a small fraction of what any other MLRS system from the US, Russia, or EU would cost. I...

The Kurdish Homemade Tanks May Look Funny But They're No Joke

The answer to that should be obvious from the posts by our Turkish members. The Turks hate the Kurds, and the US relies on Turkey as it's most important strategic Allie in the region. The US is most likely only supplying things pre-approved by Ankara. In a perfect world, the Kurd's...

well that didn't last long. Despite all the warm and fuzzy feelings during Putins visit, his demand for repayment of $200 million gas debt by 2015, and Vucic's refusal to sign the protocol, has resulted in 30% reduction of Russian gas delivery. Oh well, looks like Russia is once again shitting...

this loan was almost certainly jeopardized by the Serbias baffling fixation on joining the EU for God knows what perceived benefit. What has it done for Croatia? They are even worse off than Serbia. Fielding a fleet of decrepit mig 21's from Yemen and all they received from the US was a fleet of...

Warning to the world: Western insanity

10 years in negotiations between Russia and China and I'm late? The threat to the dollar of a strong Energy market between Russia, china and Europe has been around for decades. Nabucco pipeline was an attempt to undermine that as well as the Color Revolutions. planned and funded by USAID and CIA...

Serbian Armed Forces (pictures and discussion)

it seems to me that Wall street and War street USA see the entire globe as their sphere of interest. I hope the Serb's are smart enough to see the EU for what it is , a big joke. No new members for the next 5 years, and for Serbia the next 50 years. The US will also never be an ally, they don't...

Warning to the world: Western insanity

not sure what you mean by that? It's a well known fact that Russia and China were in negotiations to circumvent the petro-dollar as the worlds default fiat currency. They signed a deal in May that was a first step in that direction and is obviously seen in Washington a huge threat I...
