Why I wear a Burqa: Burqa gives protection and respect

Not really, Muslim women/girls are allowed to dress whatever way they like, & if a girl decides to 'put out' excessively, it shows some kind of deficiency in the upbringing of the child from her parents. Many Muslim girls here wear the Hijab & live a regular life. Even the Burqa is legal in America.

Why I wear a Burqa: Burqa gives protection and respect

The thing I hate about many Muslim countries is that many women are 'made to' (either forced, or willingly have to) cover themselves in the Burqa, & isolate themselves from society, don't have access to all the resources that a man does in society; whereas men can look at sick, perverted things...

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

If he had to tell the Hindus to compromise for the Muslims, that just goes to show the 'imbalance' in the society, & all the more reason for Muslims to create a separate homeland. But the reason why Pakistan was formed by Jinnah was not for Islam, but in fact, for the opposite reason. Jinnah...

Why I wear a Burqa: Burqa gives protection and respect

How can you say a Burqa is not a turn-on? I know a lot of people in this country that find the Burqa seductive, & have fantasies of wanting to know what is "underneath it". It is all about the mystery for the men. Once the mystery's gone, the attraction dies down. Men find things attractive they...

Why I wear a Burqa: Burqa gives protection and respect

Let me tell you something without sounding like a pervert, many men, especially here in the West find more clothes on as a huge woman a turn-on. A fully 'exposed' woman is a bit of a turn-off, not nearly as attractive as a girl in a short skirt. Men are extremely 'visual' creatures, the clothes...

Why I wear a Burqa: Burqa gives protection and respect

I'm not quite sure I do. I mean, they act awkward around women, & open up to their male friends about their secret fetishes etc.

Why I wear a Burqa: Burqa gives protection and respect

Burqa does not prevent rape, neither is it Islamic. Islam preaches modesty, that's all. There is no dress code that can protect a woman from getting raped by horny, desperate men.

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

A very interesting point in the Lokpal Bill is the selection of chosen people to administer everyone, who can police everybody, from the PM, the judiciary, members of Parliament, and all of the bureaucracy. The Lokpal has the powers of investigation, surveillance, and prosecution. Except for...

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

Litmus test: would a movement like this have this much support in India if it was protesting against the policies of the BJP in power, in favor of the secular Congress? Answer: Read what happened in the Lok Sabha Jayaprakash Narayan Movement in 1977.

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

Someone should read this amazing article by Arundhati Roy on the flaws in Anna Hazare's movement. If you read what she has to say with an open mind, you'll see she's right on money with everything, & quite correct with everything she says. These are my favorite parts of her article: The Hindu...

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

This is where the misperception lies. There are 10's of lakhs/crores of people unhappy & fighting the Congress, but for different motives than what Anna Hazare is.

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

Extremist does not mean violent or anything to do with terror. Extremism in my view can also be actions related to instigating unrest, exploitation through communalization, & things along those lines.

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

You should fight corruption by not getting associated with opportunistic, extremist elements in the movement; but by having faith in the Indian constitution & the Indian system, & strengthening them. ---------- Post added at 04:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:52 PM ---------- The...

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

There is a difference between defending your mother, & worshiping her. When did Bokhari say not to defend your motherland/homeland with all your heart?

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

This is the authority Imam Bukhari enjoys in India as a Shahi Imam: The Shahi Imam is the Imam of New Delhi's Jama Masjid. He is the de facto Sheikh-ul-Islam of the Muslims of India. Sheikh ul-Islam is a title of superior authority in the issues of Islam. The title was given to those followers...

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

Not just a major mosque, but the biggest mosque in India, in the capital of India. He's one of the more moderate preachers as well, if you compare him to the ones in Deoband, UP or people like Zakir Naik. Mocking someone's name shows your mentality.

Bukhari calls stir anti-Islam, tells Muslims to stay away

Meaning this movement is being hijacked by everyone, good & bad people, with completely different objectives, to show their frustrations against the government. I'm sure you know what happened in 1977 in the Jaya Prakash Narayan movement.

No one said there is anything wrong with Jai Hind. Indian Muslims are overwhelmingly using that slogan.
