    work is ongoing but in some places land acquisition is a issue because of democracy. 80 % land has been acquired till date and 1st stretch will open by 2027. Still a lot of debate in India on the viability of hsr , since unlike China we have to look at the economics and cant build for prestige.

    agreed but if you don't start , you will never learn. At some stage copying and relying on others has to be stopped. China has done well in copying western designs but the next stage is originality.

    its a very ordinary experience. because the acceleration is so smooth that the feeling of speed is absent. In Comparison , taking off and landing in a passenger plane are 'experiences' which never get old, specially if its a rough landing.
