I f you used that logic you would off understood what I'm saying, FA-50 & Gripens belong to countries running in USA orbit and they are supported by the American government, India is not and might go under sanctions if it decide to buy Russian S-400, Im waiting to see Tejas's beling grounded...

but when you say most LCAs, I believe you mean older versions of Tejas fighter, but Malaysia were offered MK1A which is not cheap compared to JF-17 Blk 3.
and Tejas are not easy to maintain as you have to contact several countries to get the required parts to keep Frankenstein...

it says Malaysia is looking for a cheap fighter so they drop the cheap Jf-17 and went for the more expensive Tejas because its a modern fighter??? with this kind of logic they should off went for the Gripen instead of the modern Tejas.
If USA decided to punish India for buying S-400, they will block supplying India with engines and that mean no more Tejas for your air force and all of them will be grounded for lack of spare parts. JF-17s don't have this kind of weakness which make them more appealing to other countries than...
I've been following JF-17 project since day one, what I know about Pakistan airforce is that they want to end up with a mix of blk2 & 3 only and they had plans to upgrade all of Jf-17 block 1 to block 2 and install LKF601E AESA radars to them.
