Pakistan is a distinct land, historically almost always seperate from India

I have to agree with roadrunner here, 9/10 I can easily tell the difference between a Pakistani punjabi and a Indian punjabi just by the way they look, ie facial structure, body type etc. Colour doesn't even play a factor. I know many Pakistanis who are darker then some of the sikhs I know...

Pakistan is a distinct land, historically almost always seperate from India

It's not about what Hinduism is, it's about what Sikhism is. They claim to be a seperate religion, unlike Hindus they do not believe in the caste system. Most religions end up declaring those who are offshoots but with significant ideological differences as "cults", etc. Instead...

Pakistan is a distinct land, historically almost always seperate from India

Well it's not Hinduism is it, it's a seperate religion. This attitude where Hindu's claim everything as inspired by there religion or from it is messed up tbh. He has gripes with extreme Hindus and injustice commited by them on religious minorities, he is not the only one who shares this view.

Pakistan is a distinct land, historically almost always seperate from India

He's hardly an extremist, he doesn't want a separate homeland for Sikhs and believes that the current borders of India should remain as they are. He wouldn't mind at all if Kashmir was given to Pakistan (nor would many other indians I know). His main gripe is with the way Hindus classify...

Pakistan is a distinct land, historically almost always seperate from India

Well after reading some of the threads here and stuff on other websites about Pakistan's history (well the land comprising Pakistan) I have come to the conclusion that Pakistan and the Indian punjab has almost always been separate from India politically and socially. I shouldn't have had to...

Ancient History not Appreciated by Pakistanis?

I was reading this thread at uni today and my sikh m8 asked me what it was about, after reading a bit he wasn't surprised at attempts by hindus to claim everything as being hindu or of hindu origin. He has previously told me of oppression against sikhs and that hindus try to claim that sikhs...

    Genetics thread! Pakistan

I've always been interested in Genetic identity for some reason. The second image I kinda understand and makes sense I guess, however I was surprised they didn't include kashmiris or punjabis in there survey I would be more interested in them results as basically I am north punjabi/kashmiri...

    Pakistan "Prostitutes" Beheaded!

I can comment on whatever situation I like, it's called free speech. Being of Pakistani ethnicity I do feel ties to Pakistan, also my grandparents were in Pak Armed forces and I have a fondess for militaries.. (reasons for being on defence.pk forums) Secondly I have been to Pakistan recently...

    Pakistan "Prostitutes" Beheaded!

I think both are to blame tbh. The govt and the militants. Alot of the tribal leaders resist change and education as this will make the people think, thinking is dangerous.. The govt has the power and the money, they really need to sort their act out.

    Pakistan "Prostitutes" Beheaded!

BBC NEWS | World | South Asia | Pakistan 'prostitutes' beheaded This is supposed to be Pakistani territory, if the authorities can't establish control over it then they might aswell give it to the taliban and install mullah omar as the Caliph of Waziristan. The Pakistani govt...

    ‘Taliban’s participation necessary for peace’

I am not a Pakistani (nationality=British) so I cant answer that question for you. As for my religious beliefs that is between me and Allah (swt). My mistake, however you support similar minded people so my point still stands. I am very calm infact (something your mullahs havent taught...

    ‘Taliban’s participation necessary for peace’

16 January 2006 - at least 20 people are killed and 20 others injured when a bomb attached to a motorcycle explodes at a playground where hundreds of people were gathered for a festival in Spin Boldak, bordering Pakistan. I wonder what festival this was? 1 June 2005 -- An attacker...

    ‘Taliban’s participation necessary for peace’

You see you just said it there, Islam first. And if your nation suffers so that 'islam' benefits im sure you wouldn't mind. How am I anti pakistan? I don't support people like osama whose goals are for a 'caliphate' which in turns hurt pakistan. You are the one supporting such people, so...

    ‘Taliban’s participation necessary for peace’

I am well aware of the reason why they do that (its hardly rocket science). Do you also admit that they deliberately attack civilians with suicide bombers? So you admit it, finally some honesty. You see the thing as you just said is the taliban need the populace on there side, as such some...

    ‘Taliban’s participation necessary for peace’

I believe his loyalty is to his religious ideology (caliphate) rather then a single nation, so yes I wonder why he does it.

    ‘Taliban’s participation necessary for peace’

Some attacks have against been military and the government, however many have been not. I can cite examples if you wish. You see this is the difference between me and you, I admit that some suicide attacks have been against 'valid' targets (in the rules of warfare) as this is true. However...

The new Islamic empire from Turkey to Pakistan.

You do have a point dabong. However the key difference is that here in England and other european nations there is a process of democracy and even though such things are done (it is wrong to ban the hijab I believe) elected officials are the ones to do them. Whereas in Afghanistan the...

The new Islamic empire from Turkey to Pakistan.

Because I live in England not taliban controlled Afghanistan it's not something I have to worry about, although recently I have thought about adopting a beard (for personal reasons).
