British definitely ruled India, but Muslims probably only had a stronghold during the times of Akbar to Aurangzeb. Other than that, barring the odd Muslim Kingdom here and there, there isnt much of it really. Also, most of the Turco-Afghans/Muslims ruled over present day Pak Bangladesh.
