thanks for the correction mate,but the a-26 is a small sub so how can it accomodate vls.....dcn specified that contesting subs would larger than scorpene but they never said that it was the marlin.

so the number is 7 and not 6 right.............do u have the list of possible competitors.the few i know are amur,u-212/214,scorpene,s-80,a-26.

anything is possible it may be manned or unmanned ,the future is very unpredictable and only time will tell and we will all be present to hear that....but yes manned mbts with unmanned turrets seem to be more realistic.

yes it will take the indian army to induct these tanks post 2020 which will be 15 years from now and that seems reasonable to me.....15 years is a lot of time and with the cooperation of private sectors and the russians i believe we can do it.

am saying that lca is doing well and u know the timeline of it being inducted so why post such articles.......everyone knows tht lca is going to be inducted by 2010 and kaveri has problems which are going to be rectified i the future with snecma.

it says that the army will now start formulating gsqr as it has conducted the international seminar..............it also speaks abt unmanned tanks ,even US fcs,UK fres are manned but then they are being executed much earlier than fmbt,ficv.

this can be a great learning experience..............this not only improves interoperability but also helps pilots know what he can expect from a war and how he can deal with it........it also throws in some of the latest awacs,communications,tactics and command and control.
