a deterrent is something that doesn't always ensure a victory in case of war, especially for a small country like us..... but the opponent will think twice - 'if we start a war, how much attrition would be there and would we be able to swallow that...
well, the designer company says it can carry 9 tanks and 150 troops..... but it doesn't say whether the tanks are MBTs or not....

they called the 64m Durjoy-class FAC, which may not be entirely right.... the ships are actually more like corvettes.... FACs are usually fast ships, which is why they are called FACs...

it gives a good idea about the size of this 66m LCT.... it is designed to carry 9 tanks.... it can also carry 150 troops....
the helipad can help in quickly putting some troops ashore using small helos...
could be.... but landing craft are usually army-level or corps-level equipment..... the new 17th div may not directly get it...
and btw, new constructions are LCVP, LCT for Army.... LCU would be for the navy....
I was also thinking of that.... the terrain there can only support a light division..... it may also have a riverine unit in it, since Sylhet area is full of swamplands...... and can you guess what happened to the commando brigade that was already there?
hmm.... lets see, whether this is part of a deliberate policy or not.....
