    well I hope you don't get offended, this is just how I look at it, but In my eyes as long as they leave Islam then I don't care if it's Christianity, Judaism or ....
    Iran will be different in the next century, that's all I know. I'm just hoping that one day I can take the word "muslim" out of all my certificates cause I don't believe in Islam.
    Btw people only started to leave slam after the revolution. I remeber reading a quote and it was something like this, "In 30 years the Islamic republic has done more damage to Islam in Iran than all other kings and dynasties in the past 1400 years combined."

    And I have no idea. All I know is that many Iranians just have the word muslim in their birth certificate when they're not but we can't change it. In Iran it's illigal to leave Islam. I'm not muslim, my parents aren't muslim, my uncles, aunts etc... aren't. In fact the only two muslims in our family are my grand mothers but WE ALL have the word muslim in our birth certificates.

    Iranians were worshiping allah or as we like to call it ahura mazda when Arabs were polytheistic.
    Although I'm an atheist, the Iranian nation is a religious one. In the past century Iranians have really been questioning Islam and once a democratic and secular govt comes to power we will see the true numbers of muslims in Iran. Most of the younger generation (which account for 70% of Iran) are secular in their beliefs and very western. This has helped people get back in touch with their true identity. Islam to many Iranians is an arab belief system, nothing more.
