Thanks for the information Leader. Sorry for the late reply. I am just about to post another msg on the forum to get some more opinions also. I have always been reading the news etc. from Pakistan and trying to get as much info as possible. I have also read that there is quite a few people travelling overland via this route with no problem so still considering taking my chances. Like i say trying to read as much as possible before making a desicion. Hope all is well

I have talked to my friend in Quetta, and he said "if he wants to get kidnapped he can come through Taftan border" he repeatedly warned its not safe, however what he suggested was either get some cruise ship from Iran to Karachi, or through Afghanistan enter Pakistan through Chaman border, stay in Pashtun belt, take a train from quetta to multan-lahore and then whereever.

I again repeat, it really really aint safe, my friend was saying it isnt safe for me to go to Baloch belt, how can it be safe for a foreigner?

Patt is no empty threat, you will be spied on Taftan border, and they will be read to kidnap you.
