Conflict/Terror etc... Happen most of time where many "Differences" exist...whatever Religious/Ethnic/Tribal etc...
Something Somalia does have in contrary to Somaliland, where it's almost one ethnic group,one religion etc...
Second, they are a democracy, with quite interesting records of "Fairness" and "Equality".
Let's say, their "National Identity" is way stronger than "Somalia" So... Conflicts are way way less... but they still have some "tensions with few neighbours".
Add to it a very small pop of less than 3.5-4Mil and you have it... "Stability"

Ps: they already had their share of "Massacre" back in the days... by that same "Somalia".

Somaliland was independent before, than it merged with Somalia..but the situation in the latter was very bad, so Somaliland, wanted to separate again..and it did on its own..but still not recognised by the UN as an independent country, so unofficially, many nations do business with it as if it was independent..
